In the last years, the tourism sector has become an important economic activity for Morocco. For that reason, one of the most important imperial cities of the country, Marrakech, has increasing its transport infrastructure, in such a way that it can accommodate the great international demand. There are mainly three mains of transport to get to Marrakech and to move around.
Marrakech is one of the most largest cities in Morocco, is situated in the north western Africa facing Europe on the Mediterranean and on the other side open to the Atlantic Ocean.
As an industry, transportation is based on the supply and demand. With regard to the current demand:
In Marrakech, the majority of the people that want to explore the city do it on foot. This city is divided into the Medina (old town) and the Ville Nouvelle (new city). The only way to visit the old town of Marrakech is on foot, nevertheless, the most used transports to get around in Marrakech are urban bus, taxis and horse-drawn carriage. Nowadays, the total population in Marrakech is 1,008,497. Marrakech keeps being the main destination in Morocco, in 2019, almost 3 million tourists visited Marrakech.
The transport infrastructure in Morocco have growth as well as the interconnectivity of itself. It is benefit for sectors such as agriculture, manufacturing and tourism. In January 2020 this sector is almost the 6% of the total GDP.

In order to create a transport plan for Marrakesh, we need to identify and collect the fields of improvement. There are several which should be revised to offer the best service to the residents and visitors of the city:

-- Prices are really low which makes traveling affordable
-- There are multiple possibilities of business
--there is a high demand in transportation

Through our previous analysis we have come to the conclusion that there are 4 main problems in the city of Marrakesh: pollution, security, traffic, and accesibility. Find bellow our transport plan and solutions.

Further improvements
According to the Global Competitiveness Index 4.0 of 2019, Morocco is in the 67th position. We believe that with some other improvements in the transport sector, the life quality of the people may improve.
These proposed measures for Marrakesh can, of course, be spread to other cities such as Rabat, Casablanca, and Fes, making together that in the future, Morocco can compete on the same line as many other European countries. But before that, as a distinctive strategy, the city could become the greenest city in the Africa Continent and compete with others in the rest of the world. The previous task developed in our tourist transport plan are a guideline to follow, however, more of them would be necessary to do in the future.
We have considered these next improvements as the most important
Finally renovate the bus station, with sustainable projects such as the one exposed in the section "Current supply".
An ecological transition to renovate old private vehicles, for instance, a Plan Renove with aids for electrical vehicles, by the Government. Moreover, it should be implanted charging points around the city. Related to taxis, it would be helpful to implant only clean vehicles for new purchases by 2025.
Establish a rapid light-rail transit system between the main capitals of the country.
Proposed investments in attractive meeting points, or travel centers, and linking together the different parts of the City will provide a wider range of workplaces and service in the outer city areas (Lönngren, Hedvik, & Musabasic, 2007).
We believe that even with these improvements, the city of Marrakesh would not lose its antique essence, that which likes to discover at the time of traveling to these countries.
