TRANSPORT NETWORK TRANSPARENCY

There appear some issues in Marrakech’s transport network:

• All the different modes of transport are owned by different companies. This makes the movement in the city very chaotic since there is no uniform map of Marrakech, prices and offers. Especially for tourists this is an issue.

• There is a lack of schedules in the public transport buses making it difficult for tourists to travel. ALSA does own a website where they show an overview of their lines and schedules but normally the stops do not appear directly in the buses which makes travelling nearly impossible for all the people new to Marrakech without technical devices like smartphones.

• There do not exist smartphone applications to navigate while being on the way using the transport means. Many people nowadays use their technical devices a lot for which apps provide a good service, especially when using them all the time. There should be available an app like citymapper or Moovit which includes all the transport means in one.
